About Us

Arrow Creek Wellness, LLC was co-founded in 2019 by Donald “Del” Laverdure and Kristen Burge and is based on and near the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana.

Its non-profit counterpart, the Arrow Creek Wellness Foundation (ACWF), brings trauma-informed education and culturally resonant healing offerings to Indigenous communities.

Our Approach

We offer a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space. We meet you where you are and help guide you toward your goals. We work collaboratively with a holistic and systemic lens. Our work draws on Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic and body-based approaches, Indigenous healing practices, and relational and group processes. We understand healing as something that happens in context: in the body, in relationships, in families and communities, and across generations.

Who We Work With

  • Individuals

  • Couples and partners

  • People seeking relational support

  • Therapists and helping practitioners

  • Indigenous and tribal communities and their allies

  • Groups and organizations

Our Values

  • Trust and respect. Healing work can ask people to share what is most tender. We hold that with care. Every person who comes to us arrives with their own history, culture, and experience, and our role is to accompany and guide in a way that honors the wisdom each person already holds.

  • Indigenous knowledge and healing practices at the center. Our work is born of lifelong relationships with Indigenous families, communities, and governments. We honor ceremony, cultural legacy, and traditional healing arts as complete in themselves, and integrating complementary Western therapeutic modalities, neuroscience, and trauma awareness where they are helpful.

  • The whole person – mind, body, and spirit. Trauma is not only a story we tell – it lives in the body and moves through generations. We draw on Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, sound healing, and Indigenous healing practices to attune to what is needed.

  • Collaboration over adversarial paradigms. We have spent decades in law, policy development, and intergovernmental relations. Those experiences taught us about the impacts of conflict and polarization and what is possible when people move toward understanding instead. We bring that orientation to couples, families, organizations, and communities in conflict.

  • Depth of training, humility in practice. We are certified, trained practitioners in Internal Family Systems, Somatic IFS, Somatic Experiencing, Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), sound healing, facilitative mediation, and family mediation. We also know that credentials alone are not sufficient – healing is relational.
